I'm using the DE250 on the 10-inch DDS WG. Using the DCX xover the sound is decent but I know there is more to be had here. Passive experiments have also yeilded good results but I am looking for more transparency.
Does Earl sell his passive high pass xover for the DE250? I know the WG is different but it sure would give me a good starting point. I know that he posted his xover for the TAD driver in the past. I would love to buy his HP xover or I would even pay for the schematic. Believe it or not, my current DIY sounds pretty good via active LR4 on the bottom (twin Alpha 15As) and various passive designs on top. |

I have De250 as well mounted on RCF H100 horn, it sounds pretty good too.
I suspect your x-over is around 1.5-1.7Khz with the alpha 15", since you are using DCX try Butterworth 3rd order, you may hear a difference. cheers |
