ok, very simple question. I have a series LCR that I'm modifying that the ESR of the inductor is halved. So, is this change still too small to effect the value of the R in the LCR circuit? me = stoopid right now

Total R should stay the same, but if the difference is less than 5%, you'd be hard pressed to notice, most likely. Model it in LTspice.
