Greetings everyone...
I'm in the process of putting together a pair of bi-amped "bookshelf" speakers, and i'll be using 4-pole Speakon terminals on the amps and speakers. I'm considering using CAT5 cable as speaker wire (cheap, reasonably low capacitance). One strand of cable for the tweeter (coloured wires = "+", whites = "-") and 2 strands for the mid-bass (same "colour-coding") The question i have is this: Would making a 3-way braid (like this ) have any negative effects on the signal presented to any of the two drivers (or amps)???

Depending on the "density" of your weave, you may increase the length of material needed by up to 40%. Consider if the corresponding increase in resistance may be a factor.
I used the same weave for longer runs through my attic out to patio speakers.

Length won't be (so big of) a problem, the cables will only have to be 2m / 7ft long, tops. I was fearing something more like interferences between the woofer and the tweeter signals...
