We fit Reticulated Sponge/foam in front of speaker & behind metal grill to avoid dust reaching speaker. In the market few people sale this item. How to assure at our end, which has better life or long lasting.
this is about pro speaker. |

Put the foam in a thermal chamber at ~80C, 98% relative humidity for 400 hours. Another good one is to expose it to intense UV radiation (if it will be exposed to the sun), but I forget the spec on that. Those are auto industry accelerated tests that tend to degrade foam. They are typically designed to predict a 10 year product life.

Thank u John Sheerin.
U hv given nice perfect idea. One person is testing the foam by putting in xylene solvent. Then selects the one which melts late. I can't find any reference about this anywhere. |
