I tried to search but was unable to find anything.
I am thinking of building a simple speaker system (4 tweeters and a sub) that is going to be driven by 6 channel T-amp. The tweeters are going to be positioned in four corners of the room. I have read that I shouldn't leave excess wire coiled at the end. So how does different wire length will affect the sound? We are talking about one speaker being on 20 ft wire and the other one on 30-35 ft wire. Thanks. |

sometimes running long lenghts of speaker wiring leads to instability issues in some amps, this is due to the capacitance of the speaker wires which obviously becomes a problem when you run really long lines, induction from other wiring can also be a problem so make sure you run all speaker wiring separate to your other wires. and coiling up the excess is just asking for trouble.
