It would make a nice tweeter to replace my failed Coral but I'd be crossing at least an octave higher.
Can't comment on OB baffle step

Dave I no longer have this one so I can't post a photo.
I think they were OEM to Radio shack, 2" paper cone open back 3/4 inch voice coil and a small plastic sub-enclosure of about 150cc
and a pressed steel frame with a big faceplate.
My son and I blew them playing around, actually only one but then what's one tweeter worth, open circuit. I was told not worth repairing so I gave em to my mate, to play with, I've had my eye on Ebay if any speakers with this tweeter come up I'm bidding, WAF << 1 and all

Do they often come along with a pair of very similar but not quite the saem midranges? Ceramic magnet?

Only once have I seen a bigger one, looked like 3 or 4 inches, it was in a 4way Coral box from the 70's.
And that was seen not examined
Not seen a bigger unit from Radio Shack but we didn't get the full range of product in Australia.
It was a very smooth tweeter and a very low resonance, we were playing around running it full range and it actually reproduced bass ( OK maybe not the fundamentals ) If you ever see any grab-em, reminded me of a discontinued full range from Visataton.
Just remembered treated silk surround, not paper or foam

Forgot the important bit, ceramic magnet about 2inch in Dia and 3/4 inch thick, top and bottom plate about 1/8 or so ( from memory ) looked to be a standard sort of magnet I've got half a dozen similar on the fridge as bill holders

In this case the mid was the same size cone as the tweeter, slightly larger magnet and midrange instead of tweeter on the magnet.

If it is this one, i've seen LOTs of them (gave away 20-some mids & tweeters) and have a single donor downstairs right now (& Barry has at least 4 more), When i get back downstairs i'll post a picture.

Is this it?

This example isn't pristine, but Barry probably has a spare that is... the boxes come with a nice aluminum basket 10" woofer that is all i'm really interested in.

Let me take a photo, I think I have an Akai branded driver similar to the 10inch but only one (1) pretty sure that driver is a Coral OEM
