DIY mini speaker project
I'm in the mood for making speakers! I was looking at the Aurasound NS3-193-8A 3" Extended Range drivers. I'm looking to put them in a custom PSP case. I'm not looking for a large enclosure obviously. I'm just wondering if there is a better option other than these because they seem to be very good. I'm also considering adding a 6.5" sub into the equation. Any ideas? Thanks!

There's a nice B3S project at zaph audio. Lookes nice!

Could you give me a link? Also, how large would that be?

That is what I'm modifying. I don't think the speaker boxes will work for what I'm trying to do. I'm wanting to do a custom build of that case and use the existing amp (will replace if necessary). I will also need help for an extremely small sub enclosure for a 6.5" or less sub.

I'm going for a design like this.

Might want to consider this:

15W + 15W Sonic Impact Class T amp, 3" fullrange speakers, MaxxBass circuit, $21 shipped. I think it only works with the original PSP, not the new one (sorry, barely know what a PSP is...)

Basically the same guts as the Sonic Impact T24 iPod speaker system.

That's very nice there. I guess all I would need to do is add a sub to it somehow. I love bass if you couldn't tell. My home theater system is a 7.4 system.

I might just buy that for the amps! The same 15w portable amps that I was going to buy from them are practically four times the cost of that shipped!

Do you guys think that I should get this? Also, do you think I should upgrade the speakers inside the system? Are there any things I can do that would improve the SQ on it?
