I'm in the mood for making speakers! I was looking at the Aurasound NS3-193-8A 3" Extended Range drivers. I'm looking to put them in a custom PSP case. I'm not looking for a large enclosure obviously. I'm just wondering if there is a better option other than these because they seem to be very good. I'm also considering adding a 6.5" sub into the equation. Any ideas? Thanks!

That is what I'm modifying. I don't think the speaker boxes will work for what I'm trying to do. I'm wanting to do a custom build of that case and use the existing amp (will replace if necessary). I will also need help for an extremely small sub enclosure for a 6.5" or less sub.

The speakers and all other internal parts are already high quality. It's basically the T24, and sounds very much the same. Here's a review of the T24, which compares it favorably with the Bose SoundDock:

The bass is surprisingly good for such a small system, thanks to the MaxxBass circuitry, though not as good as some competitors. By far the best you'll get for the price, though ;)

Might want to consider this:

http://www.stootsi.com/store/item.aspx?item=55407721

15W + 15W Sonic Impact Class T amp, 3" fullrange speakers, MaxxBass circuit, $21 shipped. I think it only works with the original PSP, not the new one (sorry, barely know what a PSP is...)

Basically the same guts as the Sonic Impact T24 iPod speaker system.

How do I check to see if my son has the "new" or "old" PSP?

I have been looking for that exact type of thing for him.
