is there such a thing as right specs for bass driver in an OB application?

My personal list:
Sd and Xmax should be as big as you can afford (money- and WAF-wise). Next on the list is Qts, where every expert is pointing in another direction: Linkwitz prefers low Qts, Kreskovsky something in the middle and King rather high Qts. Prior to other T/S parameters I would have a look at noise free operation at Xmax. Some drivers are quite noisy (chuffing pole vent, ringing basket) to their back side, which does not show in CB, but can be annoying in dipole operation.
