Angry Hales transcendence 8

Hello everyone. I need urgent help with replacement parts for Hales Transcendence 8 speaker. Accidently I overloaded my speakers and damaged tweeter and midrange on one of them. Does anyone know Where would I find replacement drivers?
Thanks a lot

Haven't heard of these.

I assume you've tried the dealer and google.

If you know the drivers are blown, why not remove them from the cabinets and post some pics of the labels etc.

More info will get better results.

Hales is long since out of Biz. Paul Hales went to work for QSC and they were supposed to handle warranty of HDG speakers. they did not. Paul and QSC had a falling out and Paul departed shortly there after.

As far as i know. no one handles warranty for these. and the drivers in the T-8's were matched to within .001% of each other.

It is rumored that L. Paul Hales is here:
http://www.professionalhomecinema.com

Which seems to make sense as all my inside sources at QSC would tell me is that quote: "Paul left to go make Home Theaters speakers for people with more money then god!" So that seems to coincide.

However. I do not know if he will take calls or offer any sort of assistance with his former HDG products.

I feel for you, your loss is great. Unfortunately there are no easy answers for this one. and even if you could source the custom components used. matching them would be a very large under taking.

Matched to 0.001% - no wonder he went out of business.

Actually....HDG got bought by wadia, Not sure of all the details of that transaction. But Wadia had there funding pulled out from them and thats what shut both Hales and Wadia down!

I saw the stuff HDG was just about to release and MAN it was cool! There was an eBay auction of unfinished and prototype speakers and wow, wow wow someone got one helluva deal!

Paul then went to QSC as they felt they were missing a market segment that companies like Mackie were filling. High Quality but affordable powered studio monitors and PA speakers. But what QSC learned is that to make really high quality super wow stuff takes a bit of Engineering. you cant just throw stuff in a box and say here, me too! as i understand it Paul pushed for quality but QSC just wanted products turned out quick(er).

The Products Paul Designed for QSC were awesome. But when Paul left, QSC dumped the whole product line and brought in someone else and now makes and sells Me too products. Too bad.

At least this is the generalized info info i have been able to paste together from lots of various sources from many camps close to all the fronts pre and post QSC. Only the people in those boardrooms at that time really know what went down.

Hello again Boris, My"Hales guy" didn't pan out. He seems to think Hale's drivers were built in house. I doubt it given the small size of HDG. Your best bet is to remove the drivers and see if theres any info on the back..............Then your research begins! Keep digging, as the whole Hale's lineup were worthy speakers.

You might contact Steve at Apex jr.

He might know what mid drivers were used when Hales shut down.

Some of the woofers were Focals BTW
