I'm sure several members have used those little woofers as midranges, I have been saving mine but now I can't find the details.
I'll keep my eye on this thread tho.

I have a lot of old data here, but I can't find the P11WH09, only the P11WH00, PL11WH09 or PL11WG09
Nor is there any google reference to a P11WH09. Are you sure you have the right code? |

Ahh. so its the PL11MH09, not the P11WH09
I guess the M means it was designed as a mid, ie when they changed over to the PL they realised that the 11's didn't do bass I have not used the PL, but would be very similar to the old M11WH or P11WH, both of which do mid duties very well in small-medium 3-ways The PL11 was a single driver meant to replace both the P11 and M11. |

I've used the PL11MH-09-08 in a 3-way design but the project was aborted and speaker scrapped. The PL11MH is a very good mid and I partnered it with a SEAS 27TDFC.
It was my bass choice and implementation that was wrong. This is a problem that can happen if you use some left over existing drivers that are not right for the application. The design was supposed to use up left over parts I had laying around.... wrong! I had a friend who thought they were great but they didn't do it for me at all.... mids were fine BTW.... it was the bass.
