Download WinISD Pro and input T/S parameters. Why use a passive lowpass crossover?

Hi,
The H333 is a high efficiency 8" paper driver suited to vented boxes. http://www.seas.no/images/stories/vi...33_ca21rex.pdf Around 20L sealed and stuffed is possible. Or larger vented. The overdamped case (with same -6dB) is more room friendly. A passive crossover could work, I'm not sure. Active is much easier. |

hi!
the QB3 alignment vented box is about 40 litres. the passive crossover air core coil is difficult to build because it's very big coil and may be increase R(ohm). but u can use steel core coil because it's lower R. the cut off about 100 hz that i often see. |

hi zyfb
u can use passive xo calculator program for get the valve coil (mh) about 100 hz. when u buy if u want air core coil please choose low DCR. zyfb before u do please check the Sensitivity between proac and sub driver. these are not difference too much. zyfb u can use hi-pass filter order 1 for 4" proac@100 hz. u only use Con in series with 4" proac. if u want to check the respond frequency. i have free RTA to give u. RTA regard TW |
