Hi,
I am interested also in this 5 1/2", looks attractive for Xmax and power handling but they claim 83dB and I have fear maybe real will be 81dB only!! Does someone has measured a frequency response? Many thanks, Paolo |

No one have purchased this driver? How is it?
When I read the Zaph test of his brother, D6.8, I have seen very low efficency, almost 2 dB less than Hi-Vi claims. This is my fear, D5.8 is declared 2 dB less than D6.8 ..... so 2+2 =4 84dB - 4 = 80dB Can you help my with this doubt? Cheers, Paolo |

you can calculate the efficiency of the driver via the T-S parameters.

It should be around the same efficiency as the D6.8, about 83dB 1W/1m

Oh, thanks
Not so bad it seems. Very strange they claim 2 db less for the D5.8 respect to the D6.8. If it would be really 83dB it is ok for my target Cheers, Paolo |
