My brother-in-law gave me a pair of busted KEF K120's. It appears during wall mounting an over-eager drill bit found the crossovers, so I'm about to dive in and try to repair.
Being a bit new to this, I could use some advice. My first question is: how do I get the darned thing open? Aside from the terminal cup, there's not a fastener visible on the outside. The baffle is completely concealed by a plastic cover. I assume I've got to pry it off, but it's not very willing, so maybe I should get some tips before breaking stuff. Thanks! |

If they're like my 104aB's, take out the drivers and reach in through the holes. The 104aB crossover mounts on the front and comes out that way too. The interconnecting wires may have to be desoldered if you need more space to work on things.
Good Luck. |

I opened up a very similar, older 2 way KEF. The ring should pry off exposing standard screws. Mine had foam rot. As I recall it popped off pretty easily.
