Default Fiberglass stuffing and vented magnets

anyone ever have trouble with stuffing enclosures with drivers having vented magnets?

ie. voice coils rubbing from ingestion of particles?

or is this an urban myth?

I've got 9 ft^3 to stuff, twice, and have access to free fiberglass...

No, but I have seen speakers that used fiberglass inside a cloth bag, presumably to cut down on the dust (and it makes for a tidy assembly, as you can staple the bag to the inside wall).

But I have also built speaker boxes with fiberglass without problems (except for a little itching). It would take a lot of fiberglass dust to interfere with a voice coil....

Acoustic research used to put a sheet of very porous creped paper behind their woofers in their boxes stuffed with FG. It was cut in a sheet large enough to fill in completely behind the woofer hole.

The paper was called Kimpak (now Versa-Pak) sold by Uline.com.
The Kimpak served 2 purposes. It kept clumps of FG out from behind the woofer cone and also helped filter fine bits of broken FG from getting into the VC thru the spider.

Old pillow slips work well to contain fiberglass.
