I accidentally touched my soldering iron to the back cup of a tweeter and burned a hole in it. I would like to buy a replacement. Does anyone have a contact they would allow me to speak with to order a spare?
I have tried contacting Tymphany (ScanSpeak) on numerous occasions and I can not get a reply. Thank you in advance for any help. Tyler |

Hi Tyler,
Certainly you can seal it for the time being. Since it's out of sight, it should be OK. Send an email to Madisound. They have been known to get replacement pieces for drivers that are not normally replacement items. Dave |

I tried them too. They said they could not help. I will try again though. Thanks Dave.

I have sealed it with tape for now. I want to sell the tweeters shortly and I prefer to sell them without a damaged cup.

If you melted a hole with a soldering iron it may be possible to plastic weld with the soldering iron turned down low and a scrap of the same type of plastic, LDPE can be welded with hot air, unfortunately thats as much as I know

Hot glue might work. If it doesn't, it'd be pretty easy to remove.
