Hello, I have purchased some 9500 scan speak tweeters for my system. I developed a short in my electronic crossover which distroyed the tweet voice coil. After I had purchased two new ones at Madisound, I thought it would be an easy repair.. To my dismay there seems to be a foam buffer under the alum. faceplate that is contact cemented or perhaps spray glued over the voice coil plastic plate that ultimatly needs to be removed for voice coil replacment. I don't want to destroy this foam element, for the replacement kit does not contain a new one!
Long story short, has anyone done this succsesfully??? Thanks so much, Vince |

Suggest you call Madisound back and ask for their advice on how to install the new VC. They should be able to help.
