hi all
ive got a pack of dynamat extreme sound deadener and im planning on lining the inside of my speaker cabs with it its got a layer of bitumin with aluminium over it and im wondering if it would be suitable its great for deadening the walls but im concerened the aluminium may reflect the sound and standing waves around the cabs any advice on if it is suitable or not would be much appreciated cheers |

Hi,
Sealed boxes stuff, vented line with foam, the damping will not matter. That is : physical damping of the wall resonance does not effect the damping of the airspace resonances, and vice versa. |

thanks mate
the cabs are made from 4x 9mm flexyply with a 3mm sandwitch of mdf in between each layer ,they are also curved so i guess the lining will not be required i had a full pack of the dynamat extreme just sitting there so i thought i might use it if it would help |
