I've tried several times in the last couple of years to get the demo working. I desperately want a pc xo.
I've installed Frequency Allocator Light but my sound card is integrated and is not (I assume) asio. So I downloaded asio4all and at that point I could see the streaming audio in Frequency Allocator but at the 3.5 mil output jacks all I get is unfiltered audio. I assume this is a routing issue, so I read all the manuals for the software and tried to configure. No luck. Searching the manufacturer's forum (but not able to post there) someone mentions routing with VAC (virtual audio cable) and the bundled programs. I tried routing through these instructions, but now the audio can no longer be seen in Frequency Allocator at all, and still unfiltered audio at the outputs regardless of the settings. Can someone help me make the pc xo work? What details do you need to help me? |

what soundcard are you using? what is your operating system?
Sometimes there is a learning curve to go through.. Do you have a headphone amp that you can hook up to the outputs of your soundcard? I've been using Allocator for a little while, and it works for me, most of the time.

Don't you need an extra PC with a compatible multichannel soundcard that is processing the audio coming from your main pc?
I am hoping I will be able to send the sound digitally to the other pc when I get things running. I have a pro soundcard called Lynx that has the best ever opamps for recording, but it only has two channels. Also, music programs uses my ASIO drivers already. Don't they have a list of good soundcards? The ones I saw was pretty cheap and of good quality. Stay away from soundblaster and you will do great. :P |
