Two questions before I start putting pencil to paper:
When you round the edges of your baffle to cut down on edge defraction, is that functionally a narrower baffle? How much can you compensate for a less deep cabinet by adding height to to the speaker (preserving internal volume) and leaving the speakers in the same position relative to the top and sides? A kind gentleman is designing my crossover with a reduced baffle step so the baffle can be ~ 12"-15" fome a back wall...a compromise neded due to space restrants. |

Yes. Use a point halfway on the roundover to estimate the baffle step freq.
Not so much, the more 'free air' the driver has next to it, the more baffle step compensation you need. Adjust it as you need, and tweak with placement, but try to retain similar proportions and scale for the face around the driver.
