Berkeley cabs are ~98L.
Many have said that the Arundel at 180L is a good compromise of WAF and sound. So I have used those measurements. I though 6mm MDF and 12mm high density fibre board bonded and well braced. Calcs: as per attachment. Next for a drawing... |

Hi,
the Arden is about 200L. There is a www.paper on building a 300L cab for the 385HPD that reports very good results. I agree, having used the Berkleys for many years, that the bigger cabinet is a move in the correct direction. Is the data showing two drivers in a 180L cab? That is only 90L per driver. In my opinion that is too small.

Could not get that link to work.
Just one driver per cabinet. The Arundel spec is attached / size is attached. The Berkeleys have 2 ports of 65mm / 120mm deep. Would that be too much in a bigger cabinet. I was thinking 1 x 75mm? |
