Hi,
I have just finished cutting the wood. I have glued everything together and now I am waiting for it to cure. In the meantime, I began thinking about painting. I would like to apply a piano black paint. I believe I read somewhere that I should apply 2 layers of black paint and on top of that 12 layers of gloss (lacqure). Is this the way to go? In addition, should I apply the paint before I cut the holes for the drivers or afterwards? Thanks for your help |

Definitely cut the holes before you paint. Make the recess (if your drivers are going to ne flush mount) a little bit bigger to allow for the paint thickness. More than a few good threads here covering everything you need to know. Like Cal said, do a search. |
