Here's one for you boffins!
overheating output transistor when left hand speaker is hooked up to either L or R amplifier channel, so looks like its maybe a crossover or driver fault...BUT! swapped over the crossovers, leads, tested ohmage of all three drivers on said speaker there all ok, all same volume, still the amp op trannie gets hot? checked binding posts for continuity and amplifier ground/s Any ideas? |

Are you using very long speaker leads? There could be some oscillation going on here. Could also be something fishy going on with the speaker that you're unable to see with an ohm-meter.
