Default WTB Kef 105.3 tweeter

Dear all, I am using my Kef 105.3 for the last 20 years but I lost one of its tweeter. I could not found any stock from Kef shop anymore. I really want to keep it. Any one could help me on this? Many many thanks! Sean

lf l'm not wrong you are looking for a t 27 tweeter, right? , and although they may not be available from kef, there used to be a dome/ voice coil assembly recone kit available from kef, or else try ebay, best of luck cheers TC

Just to clarify, the tweeters on the Kef 105/3 are part of the Uni-Q driver and so certainly not the old T27.

Phil50 - are these what you have, do you still have them available?

Cheers,

Nat

Hi,
I have Kef 105/3, and one of the tweeters is not making any sound after I played loud burn-in CD. The other uni-Q is working ok, but not the tweeter. How do I tell if the tweeter is blown or the capacitor is dried out? What is more likely to have failed in this scenario?

Thank you very much.

Most likely the tweeter is gone, but if you are lucky part of the XO is gone.

You'll need to pull the driver and measure the resistance of the tweeter.
