Which is best choice of driver for Home Theater speaker 5.1 DIY project?

I searching drivers for my HT 5.1 DIY project but I don't know which is the best driver for fronts, sourrounds and center with budget < 500 USD total

under $500 for everything including cabinets and import fees? or will you find the drivers/parts locally?

it's gonna be a tough one if you're buying everything outside of VN.

For a $500 budget I would build a pair of good full range 3-way stereo speakers. ... might also build a center channel for a 3:0 HT.

I would search out what speaker brands I could purchase locally or get with reasonable shipping costs, and web search for well reviewed designs using these drivers. Round up the usual suspects: diyaudio, zaphaudio, avforum, partsexpress, madisound, seas and scan speak company designs, etc...

I personally favor larger diameter higher efficiency speakers in big'ish boxes or on large'ish dipole baffles. Dipole baffles can be built with just a router.
