Default Mounting OVAL midranges

I have been looking thru Ebait agan and found some old 15Ohm oval drivers that may be of use ( perhaps ??)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&ih=016

Although personally I'd not go over $25 for all 4

When mounting oval drivers in an MTM lay-out, assuming I'm going to buy them, what is the best sounding lay-out ??
Do I mount long axis vertically or horizontally?? I have done some searching and found nothing relevant.
I am assuming that there will be some difference in the sound but wouldn't have thought it would be great

The only thing I can think of is this; if mounted with axis horizontal the centre to centre distance will be smaller, off set by wider cabinets for lower WAF.
