Default Speakers to fit this room layout?

Hi All,

I want to put an HT system into a spare bedroom/office. The space is small - 11 feet by 11 feet. The most likely place to put the fronts and rears is in the corners. The Kiss of Death, I know.

But, is there something I can do to get a good design with this contraint? For drivers, I'm favoring Zaph's recent Vifa/MCM budget suggestion.

Thanks for the advice.

11 x 11? Jeez.. I'll bet it echoes in there a bit. Not good. I have a bedroom like that, almost completely square. I keep the door shut back there, because I can actually hear that room doing all sorts of things when I'm playing tunes. There's even a lot of stuff in there too, so it's not like it's empty.

Nope. Pretty dead room. I would venture to guess that the small dimensions means that the reflections come back in such a short time that I don't notice them.

I tend to notice echoes more in a large room.

Anyway, what I had in mind is things like BSC and baffle diffraction. BDS doesn't really contemplate a speaker placed all the way into a corner.

Any thoughts?

Thanks -

Are you talkiing about the ZBM4 4" Bargain Mini, with an MCM woofer and Aura tweeter?

Nope. Zaphaudio removed the L15 design and mentioned a planned replacement using an aluminum woofer and Vifa tweeter. The driver set costs about the same as the tweeter alone on the former design. This design uses a 5.25" woofer.
