I seem to recall an inductor distortion article in the AES or one of the professional publications. Anyone recall such an article and what issue it was?
There was a fairly good article in Speaker Builder 4/1996. Anyone know of others? Pete B. |

Martin Colloms' book "High Performance Loudspeakers" has a good section on inductor core behavior and distortion, including several experimental measurements. The conclusions are quite interesting and similar to those in the link provided by Brett, in that they do not subjectively dismiss non-air cores outright!
