I got a pair of Beovox RL 140 from a friend.
my dilemma is that i cannot seem to remove the grille for the life of me i would like to see the speakers rather than just a black wall and i'm a bit curious as to what i could do with the drivers. i already removed all of the screws on the back, but still no dice. is it even possible? here is a link to the exact speaker if you are interested: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=654 |

I do believe those are like the B&W VM-1. They can not be opened up. They are what we call a thow away speaker. If they blow, you toss them due to the fact you cant get into them.

I was around 11 at the time and a mates Dad had a B&O system with a pair of redline speakers.
If I could hear them today I'm sure I'd say otherwise but back then I thought they were the best sounding speakers in the whole world. One of my first hifi moments that got me interested in all this. Leave the covers on, don't wreak the speaker just for the sake of a peek. That is unless you think one or more of the drivers are blown. |

actually, i already managed to remove the entire back panel (19 screws)
from there replacing the drivers would be a snap but that's not what i'm looking to do, they seem to all be working |
