Default Self psychology

Has anyboby wondered why we keep every single speaker that comes across our way in a self, wishing that someday we will use it in a project, becouse it is too valueble of special to throw it away or ignore it? And when that day comes, (if it comes) the amount of money and effort we put into it maybe doesn't worth it?
And although we say "this is the last, the final, the best" pair of speakers that I'll make, there is always another one knocking on our head even before we complete the project?

I call that addiction. It´s hopefully in our DNA. So we have no chance to fight it. Other people collect stamps or keep their front lawn tidy. As long as it does not lead to fraud or robbery, my friends and neighbours have to live with it.

jojospecial,

Yes I often wonder that myself...

...for about 10 seconds. Then I have to get back to thinking about the projects. So many still to go, so few years left

The bad thing is that I am not sure about one thing. If we build something really good, will we stop, or we will miss it and just keep on building? It's something like finding the woman you will spend the rest of your life with. You don't know it was her until after you moved on.

I wish I was. Their cartridges cost more that my system. Their systems cost more than my house. I dont want to know how much their houses cost!

I have a (just one) $10 Radio Shack 10" woofer with a rotted surround sitting on the shelf upstairs right now. Can' stand to throw away a driver since I tossed the 12" drivers from my 902VXs due to rotted surround not realizing that repair was possible.
