Hello there.
I have a couple of focal 5NV4211 at hand for a long time now, and I want to build something small and nice with them, but I can't find anything completed using just a 5NV4211 and a tweeter. Is anybody aware of something build with this speaker? Any suggestions are wellcome.

I have plans for an LS5/3a like clone using this driver and the Morel MDT 30 or 32 tweeter. If interested let me know.

Of course I am interested! A plan with Morel tweeters and comming from you! It will be great! I could even make the round-back cabinets I postpone for years now to house the drivers.
Thanks a lot.

Hey

there was T-line, or rather Daline 3 project from Focal long time ago, with the older version of 5NV4211DB the 5N412DBL and TC90TDX tweeter. I put together the ORCA Design version which has "bigger" box than original Daline3 and its filled with Black Hole damping. OK bass from these boxes. I also heard the older, smaller (narrower, shorter boxes which were v. close to the original production JM Lab Daline3s) less bass, but faster, cleaner, better image. I have only one 5NV left as the other one got busted, when the something was placed on the cone and the spider simply lost its properties, well. Another thing see the diff. in freq. resp between the units in the Orca Daline enclosure.

Thanks a lot Paul for the photo. I could follow it with some rugh estimates.
Now I am in trouble becouse I can't decide what to build. An LS3/5 clone or a TL? I always wanted to have a go to both of them. From another point of view I could build one of each, then measure them, listen to them and deside which set is to be completed. This would be much fun!

Hi

I did some google thing and they have plans for the Daline 2 from Orca plus older o44 focal TL kit. usuarios.lycos.es/altavoces/focal.html

One thing: If you move the tweeter to the side by 15-30 mm usually you will get smooter freq. resp. above the x-o.
