What are the effects of laying 2 way and 2.5 way speakers on their sides? I understand this can present lobing problems with some designs (MTM) however a correctly designed 2.5 way should not suffer from lobing?
What about stereo image, and the size of the sweet spot? Would having the tweeter above the axis of the woofers help with this? Thanks |

Hi,
An MT or 2.5 Way MMT has less lobing than an MTM, but they still lobe. |

For nearfield use, would this be noticeable? I understand it may be too close for summing of the woofers in the 2.5way, but I plan to have some flexibility by using digital crossovers.
Thanks |
