I'm planning a design using scanspeak revelator midwoofers and I'm wondering what the tradeoffs are between the 4ohm and 8ohm versions. Nobody seems to have measured the 4ohms.
Looking at specs I can see higher sensitivity, higher F3 and smaller box required. Assuming I'm happy with the higher F3 and my amp can handle 4ohm load, is there any reason not to use the 4ohm drivers? Are Zaph's distortion measurements relevant for the 4ohm versions as well? Thanks |
