Philips Inverted Cone Speakers

I have rec ently acquired a pair of these unusual speakers.

Are they worth anything?

or are they just curiosity value?

There were some car audio drivers that Solen used to sell that were "inside out" like that. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but they looked quite good, a bit expensive IMO but I guess they're aimed at a specific application.

Those Philips ones like the AD1720 and AD3725 (just 2 model numbers i happen to know) were mainly for portable record players, so the speaker could fit into the lid, & still make the whole thing reaonably flat & portable. As such, not really hi fi, but still better than some twangy cheap stuff from out east.
The reverse magnet types usually lack an air gap dust seal, so are susceptible to dirt getting into the voice coil area.
Any Philips speaker driver with an "M" after the model number is a high performance (good flat response) model.

They were from a 'portable' record player.

Both are AD3721 00 and are also marked 34 - 61 AH

34-61 AH simply means that they were made in week 34 year 1961 in Aachen,Germany.
