Vented box volume needed for Peerless 830884 8"

Hi, I'm new here and I want to ask you a question.
I bought a pair of Peerless 830884 8" mid-woofer and I want to know the best vented enclosure volume for one unit. The recommendations I found on the net go from 29 liters thru 44 liters. Thanks in advance for your response.

Good thread but why on the manufacturer site they recommend 28 liters bass reflex enclosure and when I calculate with many volume software I obtain aproximatively 54 liters bass reflex enclosure? Thanks to you!

Hi,

According to Zaphs measurements 28L = a sealed box.

The Peerless application gives a mild peak, and good power handling.
Not the greatest transient response or bass extension though.
Bigger cabinet 50L to 60L tuned to around 30Hz looks decent, but
one could argue not the most practical vented alignment for some.

50L tuned to 29Hz +/- 1Hz looks good to me ....
