Hello,
I just received a pair of these Monacor tweeters. I see something strange: inside grille there is a plastic foil in form of a donut. What is the purpose of these foil? What I hear, is that changes the sound when hearing from more than 30deg angle. This is something that I don't like. Any idea how to remove it? the tweeter can not be opened. ![]() Here is the picture: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3188/...b293fd5e_b.jpg I know it is hard to see on the picture with some monitors, but it is there. |

Hi,
I have the DT-250 which is almost the same, except frontplate/neodymium magnet. I would leave it in place since the DT-25ti has a really nice dispersion without showing any resonances even to 60 degrees... regards, Micha |
