Now that the competition is completed, will you commence building the "High Efficient OB Speakers"? |

Yes I will, but I'm going to take a break for a few weeks before starting.
BTW, the name of these speakers is probably going to be the "BaSSlines". This is in honor of the original creators of the speaker that inspired the design, Jeff Bagby and Jim Salk/Salk Sound.

Quickly what drivers are you using, esp the midrange?
Have you bought all the drivers? |

Woofer: Lambda TD12H
Midrange: undecided, but the first test will be the 6.5" B&C 6MD38. If it is not acceptable, it may be the PHL 1120. Tweeter: Peerless HDS Anticipated crossover points at around 500 Hz and 2700 Hz or so. I have the woofers and tweeters, but not the mids. I will buy one or maybe a pair of the B&C's from PE to test, since I can return them for up to 45 days.

Hey Critofur,
Great pictures - thanks for posting. Were there any overseas entrants? (I doubt it!) Would be good to see a bit of a bio on the judges too. Cheers, David. |

Can anyone explain those strange tall speakers with the tweeter mounted on a small plate between two boxes. I don't see the mid/bass drivers anywhere. In fact it almost looks like the tweeter is isolated in plexiglass though I think it is not. Just some clear plastic rods suspending the upper cabinet.
