Dissected a few bolton drivers

I have ripped a few bolton drivers wanted to share some data .
The drivers are highly inconsistent.
First a silk dome tweeter.

Attaching a few more images .
there is a sloping ridge in the upper plate of the magnet assebly which slopes down towards the pole peice .
what is the reason of this jagged slope ?

A pair of 4 inch drivers dissected .VERY weird one has an extended pole piece while the other has a normal one both the drivers has the same nomenclature.Moreover one driver has a uneven pole gap .

The 6.5 inch Bolton has an extended pole but lot of hammer marks on the pole piece .

Hi Somak, if the quality is so inconsistent, no point in buying bolton at all.

You are very right vivek but there are no alternatives in Kolkata other than building your own drives .
The import route is very expensive .I think what sumit did is the only solution ie building your own driver.

nicely told.. I have been searching for a long long time for good drivers. There is not a single alternative available other than Bolton.
