I have a pair of Altec Lansing 617-8A; 12" Duplex; Ceiling Loudspeaker.
The specifications are: Pressure sensitivity: 98.5 dB SPL Frequency Response: 60 Hz - 15 kHz Power Handling: 60W I am planning to use these drivers to build a pair of Horn speakers but I don't have any diagram or information about the cabinet . If is there any people built them before or know how to build them, please help me or equivalent cabinet diagram of other 12" drivers will do Thank you for your supports. |

this is the place to obtain the information you will requre to determing what you can do with these speakers. Odds are that the driver Qts will be too high for horn loading but who knows. Sounds like you have a fine set of speakers you might also consider an open baffle design. Good luck.

Quite the contrary, I'll bet the Qts is extremely low, as with most other Altecs of similar design.
