Hi everyone, new to this forum. Question for all you guys that know what you are talkin about. I have a M&S DMC1 intercom system that I want to hook a couple pairs of 8 ohm ceiling speakers as well as all of the room and patio stations into the master unit. They are telling me (M&S) that the speakers must be 45 ohm. Why is that and what would happen if I use the 8's? I want to run these speakers through a set of impedance protection stereo volume controls then into the master unit and not use the optional M&S stereo amplifier if I can help it. The idea is to use these speakers for multiple sources and that is why I want to use the 8ohm speakers. Will this damge the M&S unit? Any help?
