Thought others might find this of use or interest - here's the pcb layout for a 2 way, 2nd order crossover that I just finished building as part of my first DIY project. Woofer has a zobel, tweeter has resistors to adjust the level. It is designed to mount directly to binding posts spaced 1 inch apart, thus solving the problem of how to secure the crossover inside the cabinet. Overall dimensions are 3.125" x 4.875". The pcb could be used with different component values assuming the sizes didn't change too much, and the tweeter level resistors could be eliminated.
The design was done using Visio. I printed it onto a transparency with my laser printer, running it through twice to get it really dark, and then just straightforward expose / develop / etch using a board pre-coated with resist, doing both images at the same time. I'm pleased with the result. mightydub |
