I want to start building my diy project ,a BMTMB combination, using excellent drivers, dynamics, transparency, capable to play very loud.
Which driver do you suggest?I think of peerless HDS134,or 182.Are the scanspeaks 15w..,or 18w.. much better? ANY commercial loudspeakers using these peerless units?I already know many using scanspeaks. |

Seas Excel or PHL I'd say are better.
Excel better known, PHL > search here & Madisound Sold by e-speakers.com |

I would just look at a 2-way with the SS 18W/8531, and the tweeter of your choice, either the revelator, or possibly seas millenium, or maybe a Raven.
This should play pretty darn loud, and should have lots and lots of bass. -Paul |

--BMTMB combination
Money is no object right Here goes; B = Lambda TD15H M = PHL 2520 8" midrnage T = SA8535 stage accompany planar (settle for Esg1) M = PHL 2520 8" midrange B = Lambda TD15H Estimated cost US; Two SA8535 tweeters = $1200 Four PHL 2520 midrange = $700 Two TD15H = $400 (apollo version $800) $2300 / pair (apollo version $2700) Money is an object If you heard one SA8535 + one PHL 2520 + one TD15H, it would knock your socks off. It would sound like a live performance provided that you give each driver some power. This simple 3 way rules. Cost = $1950 / pair Non Dr. Insano idea ![]() See bottom of page. http://www.e-speakers.com/ "ESg3 / PHL3451 / Lambda SB12" Wild Card -> Rick Craig ExcelArray design ... ask for pics on madisound.com |

The best mid in the world IMHO is the ATC SM75-150S soft dome, mate this with a Seas Millenium tweeter, and maybe the Volt RV3143 woofer, and you would have a system to knock your socks off. Not cheap, but very very good.
