Default marchand xm44 slopes recomendations

hi all ive decided to use a marchand xm44 crossover with my new project and am not sure where to start with the crossover points and slopes the speakers are
1x eton 12"hexacone for bass
1x manger for mid/high
the recomjmended crossover point for the manger is 140hz to 200hz im planning on getting a few different modules from marchand but im not sure where to start .im thingking say 1x 28db lowpass at 150hz and one highpass of the same value
1x 48db lowpass at 200hz and one highpass of the same value
1x 28db lowpass at 180hz and one highpass of thge sqame value .does this sound ok based on the drivers im using .the above modules will give me a few different crossover points and slopes to try .does anyone have any reccomendations based on my drivers that they think would work well should i use the same slopes and values for both high and low pass or should i mix and match

How do the drivers measure in your baffle? That's the criteria most use to decide on crossover points.

I cannot speak for the manger...................

But I can say I do perfer (playing with 24db/octave active crossover).......

When crossing to a full range driver, 200 worked very well (for 6.5"), compared to 250-300hz.............

I'd say use 24db for time alignment purposes, unsure if 48db line up................

I use older 24 dB Marchand modules and am very happy with them. I'd think things could get very fussy with steeper slopes and that 24 dB is a sweet spot, unless the drivers (or frequencies) are poorly chosen or have some very odd roll off that needs to be compensated for.

hi the manger is a full range so its behavior should be very smooth at the frequency i plan to cross to the eton .the eton will also be no probs at between 150 to 200hz .i could proberly get away with a 6db slope on the manger as this is what the manufacturer recomends i just thought there might be something to gain from a steeper slope .ive also noticed that some designers cross the bass/mid and tweeter at different points on some systems for example lowpass 350hz highpass 400 hz why is this, i thought with a 2way the crossover points should match say 180 lowpass and 180 highpass
