Default 8"+4"=1" build help please

Ive currently got some Infinity reference 60's and they are on thier way out after 12 years.

im looking at doing a new build using the same layout of 8",4" and tweeter.

Can anyone recommend a matched driver set for this setup?all the different driver modelnumbers is just too much to take in.

i like my music clear and loud, lots of pink floyd and rock music and acoustic/live stuff too.

thanks in advance

I would definitely suggest higher sensitivity then.
I made the switch and haven't looked back since.
Forget the pretty little toys. Use real drivers..

unfortunatly one of the tweeters has blown its voice coil and they are no longer available. plus after 12 years im sure the other drivers arent thier best either.

time for something new.

Hi,

Tweeter substitution is not that difficult. 3 way c/o design is.

Whatever you do, for cost effectiveness the bass units should
be repaired / retained and then matched to possibly new
midranges and tweeters.
Are they rear vented ? possible to retune somewhat ....

An analysis of the current c/o is the place to start.

some critical components may be upgradeable ...
