wow, amazing work !
Well done !

I am curious to see how much you use that big surface on the bass.
Two 12" !
I think their excursion will be nearly invisible at normal listening levels

Ansious to see more photos ( Msw head )

cheers,

Paolo

thanks for the kind words paolo
ill start on the msw enclosure next week and ill post some pics
ive got a feeling getting the ply and mdf to bend to the shape of the cabs is going to be fun

i was planing on doing alternating layers of ply and mdf for the outside of the bass cabs but after doing a test bend on the 3mm mdf its going to be difficult

i may have to use just flexi ply ,im thinking 5 or so layers of 7mm should do the trick

hi,

before you made the whole speaker, have you think about some decoupling the "sphere" from the woofer-box ?
It is very important IMO. B&W make something, but I think you can do more efficacious with some WAF worse

cheers,

Paolo

This is how bendable MDF looks like:

A strange alternative proposed here (and probably not realized) some time ago is thick rubber.

i've been too busy with work lately to do anything ,i'll do some more this weekend hopefully and post some more pics

thanks for the link to the bendy mdf,i've only seen the flexi ply and did not know they made it in mdf ,the rubber also looks interesting ,its not something i had thought of

im still looking for something to decouple the top enclosure from the bass unit ,maybe some type of foam or something .
any suggestions?
