Default new project advice

hi all im about to start a project similar to tony gees andromneda i have the following drivers which i could use as the top 2way enclosure .scanspeak 18w 8531goo revelater ,scan 12m revelater mids and scan r2904/7000 ringradiater tweets .im thinking of using the 18w and the r2904 for the top cab which will be a simple 2way system , or i could substitute the 18w for a 12 m rev if that would wortk better .the bottom cabs will house the focal 13wx audiom for subs .id like some oppinions on if this combo would be a good match ,or any other advice i can get cheers

Default it seems to me

that using the 18w 8531goo, and the Focal sub would allow you to use the basic cross over as Tony Glee does. You may have to alter the tweeter section though....do you already own the Revelator tweeters? If not can you access the Focals?

Then just follow the recipe.

hi mate ive already got all the revelater drivers from a ekta grande project i built a while ago so i wanted to use them. they are a little different from tony gees design though .i also cant get the focal 13kx anymore as they dont make them but i can get 2 new focal 15wx audiuom drivers here in aus so im going to have to modify the crossovers to suit and use a bigger lower cab for the bass drivers .im hoping the focals will crossover nice with the 18w revs .im hoping someone who has used these drivers could advise me on the crossover setup cheers

SLR > could you elaborate more on your Ektas Grande. What are your experiences from built. I am just curious because currently I work on my Ektas Grande.

Thank you

hi mate the ekta grande is a very reveali9ng speaker with very powerfull bass the midrange is perhaps a little forward but this will depend on your room . my room is very live sounding with catheadral ceilings and in this situation the ekta grandes midrange is a little over done but in a more damped room it would be perfect . the imaging on these speakers is superb . ive tried both the vifa and revelater tweet and the r2904/7000 is worth the extra dollars in short they are a magnificent speaker .
