Restoring old suspension

I have been playing with a number of old woofers from the seventies, and it is clear from T&S testing of a number of pairs of units that the treated cloth front and rear suspensions have stiffened a little with age. The measured differences between identical units are quite significant in some cases, and the original manufacturers information also indicates changes in the suspension.

In the case of Richard Allan units, (cloth front and rear),the front suspension is still mildly tacky to touch, but for these and for Philips, rubber front still good, cloth rear), Coral (very stiff cloth front now replaced by rubber, cloth rear) and others, the rear suspension is not at all sticky.

Any suggestions for treatment to restore flexibility? Thanks.
