Default Tiny "sub"woofers

I just happened across these TB drivers at PE:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-875

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-876

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-877

I don't really have anything in particular to say about them, other than maybe I'm wondering just how small TB will take this apparent miniaturization trend? Of course to use the word "subwoofer" to describe these things is always a stretch, and the SPLs are typical.

Perhaps they could be used for multimedia, tiny bookshelves, etc. - I'm thinking the square one would make a neat cosmetic mate to the Hi Vi B3S.

I AM considering replacing the drivers in my HDTV (the grilles pop out - no need to dissect the chassis), so there might be an app. there.

Well, just thought I'd point them out - you never know, they might be just what somebody is looking for...

Yeah, with a Fs of 90Hz and efficiency of 81dB 1W/1M, I really don't see how they could be good for anything; especially at those prices.

Heh - you think 81 dB is bad - the 1748S is only 78! Yikes! Don't recall ever seeing anything below the 80s.

they'd work great in some sort of head-mounted soundsystem.

They look rather like the 'sub' you get in those little 2.1 portable iPod dock things.
