Default Next Step

I used this software to measure my speakers thiele parameters.

How can I continue with the following:

1. Find the correct dutoff frequency for the tweeter in a 2-way arrangement.

2. Find the correct volume of the box.

3. The alignment of the speaker and tweeter on the panels and best distance between speaker and tweeter.

rather than duplicate instructions already in existence I would refer you to the wiki's here, the search tool and the greater internet. Zaphs audio site has much of the knowledge you seek as does Rod Elliotts site. Of course there's the AES and the excellent papers by Richard Small and Neville Thiele.

There is also software that will take your parametric data and give you box dimensions and crossover points.

Also, while you have measured the impedance for the drivers, you still need to measure the frequency reponse for each driver mounted in your cabinet.

Once you have these measurements, you can determine the crossover frequencies and design the XO.

Dennis
