anything better than audax tweeter??

i have some infinity floor standers wihich have audax tweeters(i think) and im looking at replacing them with some audax TW025A0.

can anyone recommend a better value for money tweeter than this audax? many of the vifas are now not available. so any help would be great.

Hi,

Not an "easy" tweeter to work with due to top end rise and the
undamped fundamental resonance impedance peak, the c/o needs
investigating to see if it has impedance compendsation or any eq
for the top end peak. If it does then use the same driver, more
to the point just replace the dome / coil assemblies.

If it does not then probably another tweeter will be as good.

Seas 27TDFC is possibly a good choice.

the coils are no longer available and hence the need to do a full replacement. just wondering whether or not to stick with audax or get a better tweeter for similar money

It's unfortunately not as easy as all that. I'd try to get an exact replacement so it works with the current crossover. Otherwise you're likely to get problems, especially if the crossover is complex.
